I was working with a 3 liter earth pan and recently broke a 5 liter Belgique pan which made a huge difference. A 7/4 tureen was just what I needed to bring my soup ideas to life, and I topped it with a helping of farmer's market bok choy, fish broth, shrimp, and dumplings. Worked great. The handle is not insulated, requires a potholder to operate, or because it is a standard diameter, the Earth-Pan lid fits snugly and is easier to manipulate. The only advantage of this cover is the higher curvature. domed lid ideal for covering dinner plates.
