Review on Ultimate Portable Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker: iHome Weather Tough Mini Speakerphone with LED Accent Lighting by Jeff Kersey

Best little speaker I've ever had

The previous generation of this speaker lasted 4 years before the sound quality started to decline. All in all it's a short time but for the price I didn't think it would last that long. This is a large size and easy to attach to a rope with a carabiner or hang the rope from anything. The only thing is that over time the metal rod around which the rope knocks rusts, but still holds. Battery life was decent for my needs, but there are better ones out there. I've also dropped it many times from different heights onto different surfaces and the rubber doesn't scratch and nothing sounds like it's rumbling. You can also hear a clear noise in the shower, but it gradually gets quieter over time (it took me 4 years to notice the difference and I'm not sure when it started to go away). Also, be careful with the rubber charging port cover as it pops out easily when opened and is very easy to lose. If there is water on the front it will sound like there is water in the speaker for a while before it dries. It still works fine but sounds weird for a few minutes due to water destroying the sound waves. Overall the best speaker I have ever had and I even bought another brand speaker to try something new, tried it and returned it and got this one because I couldn't find anything else in this price range that ticked all the boxes.
