I thought it would be great, but it's not for a reason. The top of the package you ate while trying to close it could be as wide as those clips minus about half an inch since the entire package has to fit between the two ends of the clip. This really limits the usefulness of these clips. For example, the plastic bags in cereal boxes are about three times wider than these brackets. So in order to use these brackets you will need to fold the top of the cereal bag from left to right until it is narrow enough to fit in these brackets. Big bags of chips have the same problem. It is very inconvenient to fold each package from left to right so that the top of the package is narrow enough. Traditional chip clips are much better as the clips can be used with any width package as the clip only holds one section. Width, but as long as you fold the top of the bag once or twice, you can seal the air well. closes with a more traditional chip clip which I also bought from Revain a while back. It takes more time and effort to fold the top of the bags left to right to make the width narrow enough to be used with these clips and the more traditional chip clip shown on the right side of the photo , is much easier and faster to use .
