Review on Cascadia Mykonos Blue Peacoat by Brooks - Enhanced for SEO by Alex Prince

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Why, what and how. Heads have to turn. My tirade!

I've been riding Cascadia since #6. The last pairs were #13 and it was time to buy new ones. I do real trail running in northern Wisconsin and around Lake Superior. Snowmobile/ATV trails, hiking trails, and cross-country ski trails. Those who run these trails know the terrain and how quickly it changes. Cascadias have always been popular for this type of "real" trail running. Well, not after #14. The soles have changed, the grip has changed and they seem to walk on stilts compared to previous models. I patiently waited for Brooks to realize they had ruined a good cause. Every shoe store I speak to says they are unhappy with the new design and sales have gone down. True shoe fans have lost all faith in the new design.

Pros
  • Comfortable and snug fit that offers great support and protection
Cons
  • Additional insoles may be required for more comfort
