Review on 🚗 Metra 99-8158G Single/Double DIN Installation Kit for Lexus ES300/ES330 (2002-2006) by Charles Collier

Excellent solution for installing single or dual speaker head units in your 2002-2006 Lexus ES300/330. Don't let the description in the title fool you about the single din dashboard kit. It fits both single and double din, but includes a space-filling box for single din use. The only issue I had was that it didn't fit snugly in my dash, but that might be my own fault for not mounting the head unit perfectly on its mounts and then shoving that and all the complicated wiring spaghetti into the dash . As a result, part of the kit protrudes a few millimeters from the upper side edges. I just need to be more careful about "shuffling" all the electronics into my car, but try not to short out, pinch or damage anything, and also allow some airflow for the main unit fan. So I don't blame the dashboard entirely and give it 4 stars anyway. I also wish it still had the Lexus logo and hour/minute markers, but it's a fair trade to upgrade my stereo and not stay on the stock system.
