Difficult to put on and take off, looks good

What I like most about this belt is that it holds my pants all day as it is fully zipped. And the tail is hidden so it doesn't stick to things. Before I bought it I read reviews on here that said it was difficult to put on and take off and I figured these people must be clumsy. Well, now I'm one of them! It was difficult to get out quickly and I ordered too long. So I thought it would solve the problem. But after cutting, I can't melt it to insert the sharp edge into the buckle. So it's a pain to put it on. And every time it takes at least 15 seconds to cancel. Not good if you have to go! Also, the "fabric" isn't woven, just a strip of plastic and is thinner than expected, as is the metal buckle. It still looks good but seems cheaper than what I paid for it. I love the buckle style I have - trees. UPDATE: I'm getting more and more used to turning it on and off, so I've changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. But I still plan on cutting 2 inches more length so there is less tail to thread. It seems like only about 4 inches of overlap is required to create enough friction to hold on to you.
