Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Bgears B-Blaster 120mm 2 Ball Bearing High Speed Extreme Airflow Fan - Black by Ben Demers

I'm a big fan of these.

I bought four of these fans for my Rosewill Gear X3 gaming case. The case only had two mounting points on the side panel, so I modified it by making two more mounting points and then adding external fans on the side panel with Bgears filters covering the fan blades. Initially I only had two fans mounted on the side panel, the Rosewill dual ball bearing fans, so I moved them to the top of the case since the case only came with sleeve bearing fans, which were noisy mounted in that position. Each individual Bgears fan moves significantly more air than Rosewill units and I verified this with a Kestrel air speed sensor that I use for swimming. By mounting the fans on the outside of the case door and using a small opening for fan cable routing, I gained significant space inside the case and increased airflow significantly. Filters covering the fans make it more aesthetic and safer when you have curious kids or animals, and they don't restrict airflow at all with clean filters. The filters attenuate fan noise by about 7dB on my sound tester using an "A" weighted scale. Adding these fans lowered the temperature of my motherboard from 104 degrees Fahrenheit to 89 degrees Fahrenheit with an ambient temperature of 73 degrees Fahrenheit. My AMD Phenom 2 940 X4 processor, overclocked to 3.7 GHz, was also cooled significantly more by the inflow of a larger amount of cooler air. I don't find the fan noise annoying, but if someone finds it annoying they can easily install a good fan speed control to reduce the fan speed and thus reduce the fan noise to a more desirable level. These fans produce more airflow without the usual high RPM and resulting unwanted noise levels found in most fans over 100 CFM. Overall I'm very happy with the fans and thanks to the dual ball bearings they should last significantly longer than sleeve bearing fans. They're also significantly cheaper than some high-performance fans I've seen on the market. Given the cost and performance, I gave these fans five stars.
