We bought it just before a long trip last year. At the time I thought it was a waste of money. However, it has proven useful for many things. This allowed multiple devices to be connected at the same time, but also allowed me to connect my computer when work was called in an "urgency" that resulted in me spending 3 hours in the car. I couldn't have done this without stopping while charging my computer at a rest stop/restaurant etc. Biggest downside of this device? Someone stole it from my van. But otherwise since last July in continuous use without any problems. I highly recommend this product.
