Review on Petcube Interactive Monitoring App Enabled Security by Douglas Davis

Firstly the PetCube is a well designed product and build quality. The video quality is excellent and the night version is above average, if not great. The laser pointer and voice/speaker are nice touches. Purchase includes a 10-day Petcube Care subscription that adds additional features. The problem with PetCube is their Petcube Care. Without Petcube, Care Awake/Activity Capture is limited to 10 second recordings and only two days of recordings are available from my testing (regardless of the claim that 4 hours of recording with Petcube without a Petcube Care subscription provided). PetCube subscriptions start at $10/month which is very expensive for the service they offer. Each Petcube requires a subscription. Additional devices cost an additional $5. I think that's rude. I brought this product back during its original Kickstarter campaign and I'm slowly observing how a great product is being marred by features that were once free and were housed behind a subscription wall. I can understand the server subscription fees, but the price of the subscription doesn't match the features it offers. Subscription should not exceed $3-4 per device.
