This heater looks good but doesn't work like I thought it would. We've had sub-zero temperatures and it's pretty drafty in our house, so maybe he's just not ready for the training I'm giving him. It blows toasty warm air, but the "radiant heat" effect feels like a bundle of sausages, so it doesn't really heat up the room. Still, it's nice to blow on my feet from 2 feet away. Received this heater in January 2014 and wrote part of this review above. It is November 2014 and I have just returned this item (kept in the spare bed room) to use as the temperature dropped as a teenager. That does not work. I turn it on first, leave the room and come back to turn it off. I thought something was wrong with the outlet I was using. I postponed it. Now the thermostat doesn't seem to be working. The room it is in is about 60 degrees and I wanted it to turn on when the temperature is below 64. It didn't turn on until I set it to 72 or higher. It worked for half an hour and now it doesn't work at all. I have 4 months with this heater, tops. :( I'm sorry. I'm reducing my stars from 3 to 1.
