Arrived yesterday and charged very quickly. While I was skeptical due to the incorrect grammar/spelling in the accompanying manual, there wasn't a better way to see how it worked until we tried it. My husband and I are amateurs but needed something to cut my 2.5 year old boy with ASD who has very thick curly hair. He only had one haircut at the barber shop which was traumatic for everyone involved so I went with this haircut. He doesn't like noise, even when his father cuts his hair, but the noise level is almost non-existent, maybe because we had water in the bathtub while he was cutting his hair. However, I would compare the noise level with an electric toothbrush or a shaver. My son was still crying, as expected, but he seemed hesitant and his only concern was that we kept touching his head. Would definitely recommend to parents who have toddlers with sensory issues.
