I have purchased 2 packs of 400gph pumps. I also bought a Tetra pond filter to put in front of the pump for 2 different ponds. The first pump was very difficult to unscrew the adjustable supply valve. When I finally took it off, I found that it wasn't a standard size. It's just over 5/8" and just under 3/4". What can you do about it? So I opened the second pump. This flow valve came loose easily. The thread fits perfectly to 1/2 inch. So I attached the 1/2" thread to the 3/4" barb fitting that came with the tetra filter. and stretched the pipe to the top of the waterfall. I placed and connected the filter and pump at the bottom of a pond. Everything is working well. 2 hours passed. Let's see how it holds up. Not happy with quality control from this manufacturer Bought 2 pumps but only 1 works.
