Not durable – Knife sets

I bought a ceramic knife from Kyocera more than 10 years ago while on vacation in Japan and I was delighted. It broke my heart when it broke 2 months ago. I was thrilled when I saw the same product on Revain and ordered it straight away. Came 19.09. First thing I noticed is that it's thinner than my original and the grip isn't as ergonomic and the quality isn't that good. Although the blade is made in Japan, the knife and handle are assembled in China. Since then I've been using it mainly for cutting fruit/vegetables. Last night (11/11, less than a month and a half) I noticed a small chip. What a big disappointment! I don't know if this is a genuine Kyocera product but the packaging looked good and convincing :(
