Review on Roughstock Western Distressed Shoes and Boots for Toddler Boys - Kids' Edition by David Sanchez

Poor fit and finish

I usually wear size 12 shoes but sometimes size 11.5 in some dress shoes. I wasn't sure about these boots so I downloaded Ariat's own measurement chart, printed it out and used it and both of my feet were right on the 12th line so I ordered them a size 12. was easily a half to a full size larger and the right boot was about a full size to a size and a half larger than a size 12. There was a slight "pop" when the left boot was put on (which is what you want to hear when you're wearing boots ), but my foot just slipped into the right one. The one on the left was a bit bigger, but the one on the right looked like a boat. It's a shame because I really liked the look and skin. I tried quarters and socks over them for fun, but the right boot was still too loose and my foot visibly slipped into the boot with every step. I have never felt a difference in length between my feet in any other shoe and have had many pairs since I was 40 years old. Another thing I discovered as I was preparing to return it for another try in 11.5 seconds - and a warning - check this out on the Ariat website. There are MANY reviews stating that after a month or two these boots have an awkward creaking in the sole, likely due to a manufacturing defect. I have not replaced them due to these apparent quality and workmanship issues. Real shame - these are great looking boots.
