I have to give 5 stars here because of the best price, fast shipping, good packaging and that both modules really work. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to do my homework and it turns out that my early 2008 iMac doesn't support 8GB of RAM. Although Apple says it only accepts 1 or 2GB modules, a 4GB module will work if only 1 module is installed. iMac owners check this page to see what your :p:[.] supports. There is a link on this page to help you identify your model. UPDATE: It turns out that the early 2008 model supports 6GB if the 2GB and 4GB modules "match", I assume the speeds should match. I left the PC2-6400 2GB that was already there from the previous update and installed one of the Komputerbay PC2-6400 4GB modules and now it reports 6GB total memory.
