I'm a scientist, have a home shop and use a lot of solvents and chemicals, and in general I'm very tolerant of chemical smells and don't mind new plastic or rubber chemical smells in general, but I have never bought a household product that has such a strong chemical odor as this product. We have a big house and after 5 minutes the smell from this thing is all over the house. Standing next to him when he's on the floor gives my wife and I headaches - I NEVER get headaches. chemical smells, but since then there have been few of them. I can't imagine that this smell doesn't bother anyone - no product should smell so strongly of chemicals. I plan to air it outside during the day, but if it doesn't go away completely I'll return it. I strongly advise him NOT to purchase this item.
