I bought this headset to replace my old Sony headset which broke after years of good use. This is my first time using ANC so I can't figure out the difference or what to expect. The ANC on this headset is an on/off slider that activates the feature and stays on until the battery dies, unless you remember to turn it off after each use. To turn the Bluetooth on, press the button for a few seconds before a loud notification (quite loud) appears, and like the ANC feature, it won't turn off if it's inactive or disabled after the (X) amount of time it has to be turned off or wondering that the battery is empty, the sound quality is average, nothing really appears in terms of good highs or deep bass, it just plays the sound. The ANC function is ok, low tones are missing, higher tones are heard. However, you will find out when this feature is enabled. This headset looks amazing, I really liked the bright red matte finish, the headset comes with its own storage and a 3.5 audio cable that matches the color and has proven to be comfortable when playing video games or Watching movies on my phone (note that this is not a gamer's headset and I haven't tried the game chat feature). Phone calls are ok, but are accompanied by rather low background noise. (Similar to a speakerphone call, but with lower quality). Battery life is pretty good, I use it 40 minutes every night for almost a week, maybe an hour before I need to charge it. Overall this is a nice headset with excellent features. promise if they will work on improvements for this sound quality. Update 08/09/2020 It has been almost a year since I bought this headset, the hardware is intact, the color is still a nice red, the matching ear pads have not peeled off or gone flat, it still works like this first day the battery life is not reduced. This is a great entry-level budget headset.
