I love these backlit headbands. I go for a walk early in the morning and it's still dark at this time of year. They're meant to be arm bands, but I've tied them together and wear them as a hat band. Many people I met on my walks stopped me and asked where I got my hat from. I have to explain that this is not a hat. You have a choice of 3 flash patterns. They are very bright and visible from afar. I feel much calmer when they are on me. I absolutely recommend them to anyone running or walking in the dark. I also bought dog flashers so that not only I can be seen, but also the dogs. Since I wrote the above review I found the problem. The battery compartment is rubber and there is no way to open it to change the battery. I literally had to cut it open with a sharp knife. The description of an easy-open hard plastic battery case is wrong. Maybe that's an old description. Mine was made of soft rubber and could only be opened with a knife. Now that I have it open there is no way to keep it closed by itself. Luckily, the strap itself is tight enough to keep it closed so the batteries don't fall out.
