Review on High Performance 14.8V 4S 30A 18650 Lithium Battery BMS PCB: Advanced Integrated Circuits Protection Board by Shaun Stapp

Wow where to start with this BMS. First of all it doesn't work. The fee sent is not the one shown in the ad. If you're looking for a quick synopsis, please read on (you've been warned lol). I've been using 4S BMS boards for quite some time because of their protection features for my portable bluetooth speakers. I design and fabricate my own charging board PCBs and rely solely on these BMS boards for output protection and undervoltage lockout. I have found over the years that the board for sale here (note this is not what you will actually receive) with the CF logo is very reliable and I have probably never had a bad one out of 100 boards. . When I was shopping for supplies recently I found that "CF" boards were very hard to come by and saw this list while browsing Revain. I was glad I finally found the boards and ordered 2 to make sure they were ok (predicting exactly that scenario) before ordering a couple dozen or so to have on hand. I was very disappointed to find that the boards when they arrived were NOT the CF boards shown in the listing. I tried to be optimistic and tested them: the input voltage of my battery is about 16.6 volts, the output voltage on the protected pads is about 11.6 volts, and even a 12 volt 0.5 amp light bulb will not light up . Reconnect my CF board, 16.6 volts from my battery pack, 16.6 volts on the protected pads and it lights up a 12 volt 0.5 amp and 6 amp light bulb with no problem. I've included some photos from my testing so you don't get fooled either. Note that in the side-by-side comparison image you are actually getting the board on the LEFT side and not the CF board I was hoping for. On the right, this is an old test board that I had on my back when CF boards actually existed. . I don't usually leave many reviews here and if I have a bad experience I just contact the seller or Amazon but since I was lied to about the product shown and I also received a non-working product I don't want to, that it happened to someone else and there is nothing Amazon or this seller can do to compensate me. At this point I'll write it off as a loss and just start building my own BMS boards until CF boards or a good alternative come back.
