Great modem, get rid of the 10.00 monthly fee Comcast. Comcast doesn't want you to plug it in either. I bought this modem to get rid of the $10 monthly fee for Comcast. First I called 800-266-2278 and went to IT, gave the guy all the information. said he couldn't get it to work and told me i had to drive to comcast and they would do it for me. I also went to Comcast and waited to be seen. Finally it was my turn. Long story short, the woman said the box was stolen because it was called "Xfinty" and you couldn't buy it on the open market. She kept saying it was stolen, you have to return it and buy a (OUR) modem or rent ours. I looked around and found the direct IT number 855-652-3446! - called and got a wonderful lady who took all the mac numbers etc and put the modem on the account and then turned it on. Now it works great, I save 10 per month.
