Yes they are expensive but they are worth it! If you want a quality screen mat with a rubber band (instead of a useless rectangular screen mat held by a rubber band), this is your best bet! I have tried many brands/types and will not buy anything else. I subscribe and save. This makes cleaning the box much easier. My cat likes to urinate on the outside edge of the box and I used to have to scrape the sides of the box to remove the dried litter. Then I would have to wash it. Enough! A word of caution, this may not work for a cat that has a lot of claws and scratches/paws in a small box as it could tear holes and defeat the purpose. But it's still worth trying. Tip: Sometimes I can extend the life of the liner by picking it up between screens. One liner is enough for me for 3-4 days with one cat. Just don't scratch the bag itself. I lift the edge of the bag to bring the pulp to the center so I can pick it up without tearing the bag. It still helps because it doesn't stick to the bag like a litter box.
