Pleasant to the touch - UPDATED 9/2/2020: STOP USE IMMEDIATELY!

09/02/2020 - After purchasing this item I have rated it below. I HAVE AN UPDATE THAT AMAZON SHOULD TAKE SERIOUSLY. AFTER ALL THIS TIME I JUST REALIZED THAT THIS MOUSE ALLOWS HACKERS TO CONTROL YOUR ACTIVITIES (all capital letters to get your attention, don't shout). I noticed two things recently. First, when my computer went to sleep due to inactivity, it often woke up. I couldn't figure out why this was happening when I wasn't typing or using the mouse. The second thing that struck me happened while I was typing the assignment for the class. I stopped typing to look at my notes and noticed my page scrolling up and down on its own. Out of curiosity, and to make sure I'm really seeing what I'm seeing, I looked up to see if wireless mice could give hackers access to your computer, and they can. Other than that, I removed the USB and haven't had any problems since. I looked at the back of the mouse and it's made in China. So you've definitely built something into this mouse to track your activity and are actively involved. If you haven't bought this mouse yet. DO NOT DO IT. If you accidentally see this review, DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY! Amazon. Please email everyone who purchased this item asking them to stop using it and remove it from your site. ---------------------- -------------------------- ----------------------- ------------------------ ------------------------ --- ---- I just bought this mouse and I love the soft touch and the quiet clicks. However, I figured I'd have to send it back because it wouldn't work. A little tip: check your battery. It arrived yesterday and I couldn't get it to work on my PC or Chromebook. The device already had a regular battery installed and I thought the battery might be the problem. However, I didn't have them at home and we were in the middle of a snowstorm so I couldn't make it to the store. Today I replaced the battery and ta-daaaaaaa.works. I'm using it with my Chromebook and had to make changes in the settings. It was weird, but prior to setup I had to click in the opposite way you normally click when using a mouse. So in the settings "Swap primary mouse button" is disabled and "Reverse scrolling" is enabled. Now I can go and not have to bring it back.
