Difficult to get feet in

I've always liked this brand of snow boots but it was almost impossible to get my son's feet into these boots. You can't stick your tongue out very far and the hole is too narrow to fit your foot in. My son usually takes a size 6 but I ordered a size 7 to make sure it would fit in thicker socks. Needless to say, I am very disappointed considering the $45 price tag.
