*****UPDATE***** I've upped my rating for this. The manufacturer contacted me after the review below and exchanged the band free of charge. I've been using it for a while and the quality is much better, no wear and tear. Apparently I received a defective one and my original strap was not a criterion for the quality of the product. I am a tall man who started judo at the advanced age of 42. I started with the cup that came with the compression shorts as the only thing I could find that worked for me. When I lost weight, compression shorts became everything BUT, and when sparring, the cup slipped everywhere. My trainer recommended me an underwired cup as soon as possible, and that was the first cup size (XXXL) that fit me. And it fits very well. The cup feels nice. i really like it The reason for the three star rating is the quality of the backer. I've literally washed the item 3 times (and air dried, not tumble dried) and it's already worn out. It should take longer.
