I've been looking for a decent microphone for streaming, gaming and occasional voice recordings for a long time. I needed an upgrade from a headset mic without having to invest in a full audio system to power a condenser or afford an XLR. This guy hits the spot, has been approved by multiple YouTube audio reviewers, and comes with a boom, shock, and pop filter. Sale! (about $35) Pros: - Plug and play, no phantom power required - Audio is clear, loud, with minimal noise - Professional looking design. I'm a big fan of matte black and it goes perfectly with the rest of my setup. Gives my table a "streamer" look. - Bundled items save you the trouble of finding each of these accessories individually, and you can always upgrade later. I have Gateron Brown switches, so they're louder than a laptop keyboard, but it would still be nice if the input was a bit more directional. - No indicator light or on/off switch. Didn't think I'd need it, but if like me you're mute all the time, an indicator light would be nice to inject some silence - the palm rest is pretty flimsy. But they shouldn't have turned it on at all, and it does the job, so a quick note. Another small note, but seriously? BLUE cable with an all black product? Why? It was easy enough to keep my own black printer USB cable (the one used in my photos), but still. Overall, I've enjoyed this mic in the few months I've had it. I play online games fairly regularly and it's nice to be able to just pull out the mic and turn on my own headphones. If you are looking for a simple plug and play microphone with above average sound at a great price, this is it.
