I keep it simple and use mainly sponge and box filters in my aquariums with great success. The dimensions of this particular sponge looked interesting and the price was right so I ordered one to try. I'm glad I did this because yes it's a nice unobtrusive size and after a quick test it works great so I've ordered 3 more. At $5 it's a bargain!
