I use this mat with the Harbor Freight DA polisher and it does the job perfectly. Don't expect it to fix major blemishes, but it works well on mild to moderate blemishes. I used it with Meguiar's Ultimate Mix. With a more intense composition, a higher quality cut may be possible. I have found this pad to last longer than the Chemical Guys equivalent. I have an orange hexalogy cutting pad from the chemists and it heats up very quickly. I just bought one and used it pretty intensely for a day. This caused it to sink/shrink in the middle/middle permanently and became somewhat unusable after a few hours of use. I used this Meguiar rug in the same way and it stayed much cooler and had no imperfections.
