These slip shorts will do the job and are far more comfortable than spanx/shapewear (they also aren't going to suck you in very much either) However, for those that worry about that lovely "swoosh-swoosh" sound as you walk (because hello thighs!), these shorts did not help with that! I ended up returning them and have been searching for a similar pair made from a softer, less-audible material. I could also see the lace trim around the thigh becoming an irritant.
