No problem / good price

I'm a volunteer firefighter and added them to the grille of my Ram 1500 DT. The mounts have a low profile (thin) which makes them much easier to mount on a grill or surface than some other mounts on the market. They are also bright enough to be seen day and night. As stated in the description, there are multiple flashing patterns. 3 cores black, red, yellow. Red is hot/vivid, black is ground, yellow is momentary and changes flash pattern. The lights seem to have some pattern memory, but I'm not sure how long they can be de-energized before the pattern resets to #1. There are 2 screw/mounting holes on either side (left/right) of the lights , and you can use screws, rivets or cable ties depending on how you want to attach them. These headlights are flat and don't mount particularly well to roll bars or bull bars etc without some sort of adapter bracket to bend the back for a secure contact. Running wires from each light is sufficient, but you'll need extra wires and a wire harness, tape, connectors, and the like to install them. Gauge 3 wires 26, which is very small. I had no problems with the installation but I would like to mention that the 4 lights are out of sync even when powered from the same source. If that's important to you, you either need to buy another lamp set or learn a little more about series and parallel than I did. Finally I tested all 4 bulbs and the total/combined current draw is around 0.18-0.25 amps (12v) and fluctuates as the light pattern changes. at the same time know what the highest consumption would be, but I deliberately did not aim to test this maximum value. My goal was to check the approximate battery usage and make sure I was using the correct wiring, relays, switches, etc. Very low current so almost any 12 volt automotive electrical device should work.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity
