I bought this to use for video (paired with Aputure 300D and 120D) so my experience is limited to that. Your results may vary if you use this with an external flash, but I think the main issue is the inferior glass in the lens itself. -- PROS -- + Inexpensive but good build quality + Comes with lots of gobos and gels for different scenarios. + Bowens mount makes it compatible with most photo and video lights. -- CONS -- + Poor quality lens. Creates distortions and color fringes in gobos. See example photos. + It can be difficult to adjust and rotate a gobo when it is in a slot. + The rotating lens lock knob is difficult to adjust when the lens is facing up or down. All in all a decent attachment for the price but I sent it back due to the poor quality of the lens. This created too much distortion and fringing to be useful for what I'm doing.
