Nano glass files have worked very well on my feet so far. The surface of the file is rough and almost "sharp" to the touch, but it doesn't actually hurt the skin. I have very sensitive, easily damaged skin and so far none of these have harmed me. However, I am careful and check if I have sanded too deep. This works best on wet surfaces. I rinse it off under the tap before sanding my feet. In fact, a thin layer of water is required to function well. This makes sanding faster and the dust from the skin does not spread everywhere. Its handle is some kind of hard, brittle, hollow plastic with a matte finish. The shape feels great in the hand (much like a computer mouse) and the matte texture makes them less slippery (I've seen some of these with a super shiny iridescent finish before and they were VERY slippery! And looked weird). My camera didn't handle colors well; it's more of a "spa" green-blue. The surface of the grinder is washed after each use / leaves no marks on the skin.
