My 60 lb dog broke the last door we installed 2 years ago. Getting a little nervous, she jumped out the door and forced it open. This one was closest in size to the old one. It was easy to install using the same old doorway. What I love about it is the "hinge" that allows the door to swing. The old door had plastic parts and over the years they all collapsed with only the grille holding the turntable in place. This one is of higher quality! I followed another reviewer and secured it with zip ties. Unless your dog is very gentle, the latch on this door will eventually fail.
