My daughter wanted an 'old fashioned' nightgown and I was concerned we would only find flannel or slack cotton. I was happy to find this one. We ordered the off-white cut, which is a long sleeved nightgown with a lace-free ruched neckline. She loves it and it's great. She is 8.5 years old but tall for her age so we ordered a size 10-12 and it fits her perfectly. The sleeves reach to the wrists and the hem falls below the ankles. 8-9 would be too small. The fabric is very light, soft and stretchy. The neck is elastic and very soft and elastic. She loves it and I would recommend it but the size is bigger.
