The wedge does not wedge, is poorly shaped and smells awful. The only way to use it as a doorstop was to put it in front of a light colored door. It's hard enough for that. But it's too hard and slippery to stick to surfaces. There are ridges on one side. So if the floor is very rough concrete or stone, it might get stuck, but the ridges would probably wear out soon. It's also the stinkiest piece of rubber/plastic I've ever owned. It's worse than tire smell and I had to take it outside because my house immediately started to stink. The package it came in can be felt in our locked bin. The smell would not leave my hands for several hours. Hume. Small detail is that the one I received was very badly shaped. It's not exactly a problem for industrial use, but I wasn't planning on using it in that environment.
