WHY do these patches, which (according to the label) contain tea tree oil, smell so strongly of pine salt? The smell is quite unpleasant. But when used these damn things caused a bad reaction on my skin - they left a rash/irritation that looks and feels like a burn after removing them. I have never had a reaction to hydrocolloid acne patches OR real tea tree oil before. Has anyone tested these patches to see if "tea tree oil" is actually chemically closer to pine salt? My skin isn't used to tea tree oil and I've never had any reactions or problems with it; but I've reacted to Pine Sol in the past, and considering their strong, "fake" smell, I have to say I'm interested.
