Review on πŸͺ‘ Classic Style and Comfort: Regency Regent Guest Chair in Mahogany/Black by Sandra Ford

Large and durable versatile modern chair

I have collected many chairs in my time. There were some unexpected problems. The Regency Regent Guest Chair was packaged well and the materials appear to be of good quality. Love the fact that it's a solid hardwood with a cherry finish at a reasonable price. I'm not sure what the cushion is made of, but it's covered in an attractive black fabric with an abstract print that has so far been easy to clean. The wood and fabric appear to be of good quality and nicely finished, and it reminds me of something I've seen in a library or office. The seat is very wide in order to also offer space for large buttocks. Although not luxurious, it is comfortable to sit on for a long time. In general I really like it, but I have 2 big criticisms. First, the inadequate instructions (pictured) don't make it very clear how to properly assemble the chair. It doesn't even mention the use of pucks so your guess is as good as mine given where they go. Although most of the chair is assembled with hex head screws, you will need a drill for the screws when attaching the seat cushion to the frame. There are no instructions on how to do this, so you better get it right the first time. Second, it is quite difficult to align the bolts when attaching the front legs/armrests to the seat. I spent an hour assembling the Regency guest chair through trial and error when it was supposed to take at least half as much. Construction frustrations aside, I am pleased with the durability and looks of this chair and am happy to add it to my list. home office. court
