Mostly good: camera and photo

This tripod is mostly good. I think for the money I paid I should have found somewhere else as he is very shaky and has the smallest of legs stretched out. I might find something cheaper with the same stability that will reach the heights I need. I wouldn't use that part of the legs at all. The handles on the legs are of good quality and hold tight, and the tripod as a whole is made of quality materials. I've used this with my Nikon D800 and my Fuji XT-1 and XT-2. This works much better for mirrorless cameras since they are lighter. However, the ball head that comes with this tripod is pretty damn good. If it weren't for the wobbly legs, this ball head would keep my Nikon D800 largely stable, even with the 70-200 attached. If I really try, I can push my D800 and the ball head will move when fully tightened, but only with help. Without touching it after tightening the ball head I haven't experienced any creep. It's amazing how small the ball head can hold this setup without slipping. Overall, I would only use this tripod for mirrorless cameras. If you are shooting with a DSLR I would try to find something with much thicker legs and less leg sections as this gives you a much more stable platform. The carabiner tool and the carrying case it comes in are nice touches. I don't think this is a "poor quality" tripod. The legs just aren't thick enough to hold large cameras. You can't beat physics.
