Review on BLAUPUNKT AMP1404 1500W Channel Amplifier by Lyle Stepp

I installed this after my 20 year old amp failed in my 20 year old 4Runner. The replacement was easy as all the cables were present. At first I was concerned that there would be insufficient power, and my fears were justified when I had to crank the radio volume all the way up to barely get enough power through the speakers. I remembered that Blaupunkt has volume controls. They were set to the minimum from the factory, and when I set them to about the maximum, the volume was adequate. I rarely listen to music (mainly podcasts, radio and recorded books) so I can't give a competent review of the amp's dynamic range, but I have no reason to believe it won't be fully satisfactory for any type of listening. The amp appears to be made of quality materials and I have no reason to believe it won't last me many years. I find it very good value for money and worth the purchase.
