Great starter set for cutlery and knife accessories

After just over a year of use, one of my most used knives (Santoku) is showing signs of rust on the blade. I've almost always used one of the knives in this set, but I gravitate towards the santoku the most, so I was a little sad to see the rust. However, I think now is the time to invest in a higher quality replacement. This was the first set of knives I bought myself. I particularly like the covers and the striking colors, which made it easy for me to choose the tool I wanted from my jam-packed cutlery drawer. I've heard it's good to buy an inexpensive set of decent quality tools. If one breaks or is lost, you can decide whether you should invest in a better replacement. I think that goes for knives too. For the average home cook, I don't think you really need to spend $100 on a knife if you hardly use it. Overall I was very happy with my purchase. I guess one shouldn't expect too much given the price, but it's very reasonable value for money and well worth the investment.
