Very light, smooth material. It is very stretchy, allowing for easy maneuverability when performing tasks. Some reviews say it's not waterproof and I'm not sure why. If you can't get water inside, the outside will repel water. I held it under the bath water and it immediately slipped off. The only downside is that it doesn't warm at all. It blocks the wind but if it's a bit cold outside I have to cover it with a layer underneath. I love how smooth it looks. The pockets are great because they are zippered.
