Tick before assembly

This serves me as a free standing gate. It adapts to your door space, but cannot be easily expanded to fit different door sizes. You use the Allen key provided to size the door. When I received the box of parts I laid them on the floor before assembling. At first glance everything seemed wrong but I moved the parts and the legs in the same direction so I figured everything would be fine. The first problem I had was that each hinge has 3 holes on each side but only 2 are pre-drilled in the wood. If you want to use all three screws on each side, you will need to pre-drill an additional spot on each side of the hinge. The required number of screws is included. but in about half of them, the Phillips x isn't deep enough to securely hold a Phillips screwdriver. Therefore, assembly required a trip to the hardware store for replacement screws. After assembling it, I realized why it looked weird. I have 2 identical fronts, not left and right. This morning I had to remove one of the sides, turn the gate over, mark and drill holes on the other side of the front and reattach the side. It is strong enough for 3 standard size old dachshunds. The build took a lot more work than I expected.
