Review on πŸŽ’ YUNGHE Waterproof Fanny Pack for Men & Women - Adjustable Strap for Travel, Sports & Running by Gary Duncan

Much smaller than expected

I've been using a "belt bag" since mid-2020 to carry extra masks, some gloves and a battery booster for my phone. The one I'm using has been in use for almost 10 years now and has started to fall apart so I've ordered this new one as a replacement. I measured my old backpack and the dimensions of this new one were very similar - in fact it's about 0.1 inch longer so I figured it would be a good replacement. Well finished, the capacity of this backpack is very small for its size. My first impression of the packaging was "it's small" and I quickly realized that it was even smaller than it looked. a plastic zip-top bag containing several surgical masks, a second plastic zip-top bag containing 3 pairs of nitrile gloves, a small bag of facial tissues, 5 small alcohol wipes (in small foil pouches), a small jackknife and a cloth. A mask I forgot I put in there a few months ago. That being said, I still had room for a few small items, and I was even able to slip my iPhone SE into a "hidden" zippered pocket on the back. To pack everything in a new bag I had to throw away face tissues, alcohol wipes, sheet masks. The jackknife barely squeezed into the outer pocket and was completely without useable space (the backpack was already cocking to accommodate what I put inside). I immediately repackaged a new package and requested a return and refund, then went back in search of a replacement. At first glance, this package looks well made; I didn't see any protruding threads, and the zippers and buckles worked smoothly and felt secure. The belt itself is quite wide and very smooth - it reminded me of a satin ribbon. The adjustment buckle seemed to hold it up well, but I suspect it will start to slip after a while because the material is so slick (just an opinion, I didn't wear a backpack at all). I would recommend this backpack to anyone who has *very* few items to carry or maybe an older child; Even with small and/or flexible items in the main compartment, the outer compartment has limited space and the back compartment becomes too narrow for the iPhone SE (so inside the Otterbox Defender case it's less than twice as thick).

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
