This backflow preventer/vacuum interrupter does exactly what it was designed to do. Make sure you read the entire description! It has a drain system to relieve pressure which builds up in your hose when not in use (e.g. in the sun) so it drips onto the connector when not in use - this is by design Also an important note: the set screw is designed not to break to make the installation permanent. If you don't want this either don't install the set screw or go to your local hardware store and buy 10-32 hex set screws. They work great and can be removed if needed. All in all in all a good product that works exactly as described and intended, most of the negative reviews are due to this lead to people not understanding the design of the valve.
