Review on UV Protective Winter Ski Mask with Fleece Ear Warmer - Ideal Face Cover for Men in Cold Weather by Michael Luna

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect but there is one major flaw

As background: I'm a woman with thin hair, so not a big head. I ordered this in a hurry as we are having teenage weather and finally figured I need something with velcro on my head/hair so I don't go crazy pulling/removing something over my head. That fits the bill. He is skinny. It's not thick neoprene or high-loft fleece, but a thin windproof shell with a soft interior. Not sparkling at all. I appreciate the contoured cutouts for the eyes and the higher rise for the nose. Here the fun ends. There are also contoured areas meant to be worn over the ears. Except they're both 1-2 inches ahead. I swear my ears aren't on the back of my head lol. Of course, if you bring the thing to your face, both ear contours can reach up to your ears, but then you hold the mask over your eyes. When the mask is lowered so that you can see, the contours of the ears do not reach the ears. Instead, they're slightly curved and odd at your temples. Anyway, it's 18 degrees outside and windy, and I'm recovering from a sinus infection that requires my nasal passages to be closed and hydrated. It performed very well in the windy Chicago conditions. I have a version with a cap around my neck so it doesn't come out of my collar.

Pros
  • Thermal fleece lining keeps you warm, outer windproof fabric lining in face area
Cons
  • Vulgarity
