My mom started using copper based algaecide in her pool. I had no idea until my daughter stepped in with her newly highlighted hair. 15 minutes later and their ends were green. How light green. This product requires some muscle strength to inject into the hair until the green starts to pull out, but it definitely works. A bit pricey but considering how much you pay for highlights these days it's worth going green like this. Needless to say, she didn't dive into grandma's pool until the end of summer. Luckily we didn't have any problems with the other pools this summer.
