I really like that they fit in a desk drawer. Less tempting for little fingers. Less things on the counter. And don't cut yourself on it when you get in the box. You'll need a box with a gap of about 3.5 (maybe a little less) to store them. The block is quite heavy, it doesn't slide too much in the box. Now about knives. They are comfortable to hold, as if you were holding a fine instrument in your hands. They are very, very sharp, but as you know, a sharp knife can be safer than a dull one because you need less force to cut. The sizes shown are also the ones I use the most. Not useless just to count. You really shouldn't wash them in the dishwasher, so be aware that you will have to hand wash and dry them. before they are removed. I love them so much I got another set as a gift.
