I've wanted a cooler, more visible bike for a long time so I took a chance and bought this vest. On a recent long ride I knew one foot was going to be a hot ride so I took this one to give it a good, reliable try. I put protective pads on my chest and back and left. It was over 90°F and I had 160 miles to go. Less than 40 miles later, the back padding started making me uncomfortable. It wasn't a lot of pressure, but it was constant and about halfway down I had to stop and flex this piece to try and make it so I could continue to wear it and not throw it away entirely. Luckily it helped. At the same time, this vest was not particularly cool. There are no vents and it wasn't until I partially unzipped that I got a slight drop in body temperature, and even then I only did that for a short time as I was riding at freeway speeds and you don't want a lot of clothes flapping when you're going that fast . In short, I'm not a fan and may never wear it again. 3 stars (and that's pretty generous).
