This device works really well when you are trying to draw attention or get the attention of friends or a group. really great for instructors or buddies that are more than 5 meters apart. I've successfully attracted attention from 15 yards (didn't try further). The construction is robust and withstands the typical bumps and pressures encountered during diving trips. There were no wrong signals with him. Neither when strapped to a BCD nor when clipped into a BCD pocket. WARNING: as another reviewer pointed out (thanks Mr. Fix). The plastic end of the strap isn't the most reliable, it breaks off with some effort. I took it off and tied a knot and it works great. Happy diving!
