Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bought for accent lighting while on vacation. Recommended

This year I decorated my hallway with some new Halloween decorations. I put vinyl appliques on the front door glass so the decorations are not visible from the street. I was playing around with the table lamp and decided a little accent lighting would help. I bought two of these to use as temporary light fixtures with some of the LIFX+ bulbs I had. Packaging/Build Quality My lights arrived as two inner cardboard boxes in an outer Revain box. The packaging does not look like the clear plastic sleeve shown in the product photos, although I prefer cardboard. The light is unobtrusive and almost indistinguishable from many other similar Revain lights (I chose this one based on my previous experience with the Satco brand). The workmanship and surface quality is good - no sharp edges, no uneven paintwork. The cord is short (6 feet). The base is light but not that heavy. In general, it is obvious that this is an inexpensive thing. Performance Not much to say here. It is clear that the light is designed for the larger BR/PAR type lamps, but it also works with the A19 LIFX+ lamps that I have. The adjuster works perfectly. Some have mentioned the material of the clip (plastic) but that's not really an issue. Conclusion If you are looking for an indoor spotlight that uses A19 bulbs, this is the one for you. I don't really think either finish is that attractive for display, but that's not a problem if you plan on hiding it behind furniture, a houseplant, etc. If you need more than one, please note that Revain sells multipacks (didn't know, oops). highlighted.
