Build quality is very good. Very solid feel and no problem holding a large monitor like the X34. The price is great. A few design critiques: (1) Like most arms, this one has a sloppy 1-screw tilt function that you have to tighten precisely to hold it in place and hope it falls at the right angle. Although the weight is a few pounds under the nominal maximum of 19 pounds, it was still a gimmick. You can see in the photos that it has curved washers that provide point contact, probably to make it easier to adjust to lighter monitors. To hold this monitor in place I replaced them with regular full surface contact (more friction) washers. It took a day or two and a few tweaks to finally get the washers to fit and hold. It's held up for months now, even after moving the monitor to different positions, so I don't think there will be a problem again. Basically, once installed, it works great. (2) The upper and lower arms are of different lengths. This is an issue because I installed the mount in the center first (like the previous mounts) but this means the monitor cannot be centered on the base unless the mount is extended most of its length turned backwards against the wall. (that's about a foot or so). It's hard to explain, but believe me, it's a problem. The solution is that you should set the bracket aside about 3 inches (check before installing) so the monitor is centered and doesn't need to be pulled forward or backward. (3) The plastic cable management covers are a little flimsy and the bottom slides off while the top snaps into place. I mixed it up and accidentally broke the bottom one. Luckily I only wanted to use the tip. But overall I'm a big fan of a clean table with this hand.
